A look at the state of our disintegrating republic
Not recommended for those who are A) paralyzed by fear, B)afraid to think for themselves, or C)convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that they and all of us born in the U.S., are somehow God's gift to the planet. Best money spent - questioning authority with due diligence
If you watch the film only from the brainwashed viewpoint spoon fed to the American public through the press, then you won't accept the information presented by former military, academics, and others who have been in the trenches and offer a different view. Having an open mind and seeking truth from what is presented is the only way to have due diligence and maintain our Constitution for the citizenry. By not questioning authority or potential abuse of power, unscrupulous people can get into office. "Superpower" asks more questions than it answers - causing the viewers to evaluate the world in which we live. Those who are afraid to face the truth are doomed to fall prey to the disregard for rights and liberties by those who would take advantage of them. This film asks the viewers to become aware, take control, and make a difference.
Producted during the Bush presidency.
Well done documentary made during the Bush presidency. Good pace and coherently presented. I can see this being viewed by future citizens as a perspective of what how we got to where we are.
